Ko Kahu Ropata tētahi o ngā tamariki e waru a Kahu-o-te-rangi me Marara nee Ferris. Ko ia te Pou Tikanga Reo o Te Ohu Reo Manawataki o Ngāti Toa Rangatira i whakatūhia i te tau 2023 hei kōkiri i te whakarauoratanga o te reo ki waenga i ngā uri o Ngāti Toa. He tumu kōrero ia mō tana iwi, he kaiako reo Māori, ā, he kaitohu ahurea ki Te Whakaminenga o Kāpiti me ngā tari kāwanatanga maha.

Kahu Ropata is one of eight children of Kahu-o-te-rangi and Marara nee Ferris.  He is the Pou Tikanga Reo for Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira. He is also an Iwi historian, who is a former Te Reo Māori teacher and a cultural Advisor to Boards, Schools, and Various Government Departments.
